Portfolio Post: Reflection on final project

This project has taught me a lot about creating a media product. This project made me really focus in on time management and research. I think project was a good thing it really allowed me to use a more creative side of my brain to complete it.

I think the best part of this project was the fact I had to be creative. This project wasn't a typical give task and complete you really were forced to be creative to complete this task. Every challenge required a creative solution.

For example this boxing ring was my biggest problem. I dont have access to a real ring so I had to get creative for the solution. what I ended up doing was getting a black sheet as the background and used a battle rope as the ropes of the ring. I think it turned out really good and I am very proud of the solution I came up with.

This project was a really good thing for me I think as now I know just that much more on all the skills I used: time managment, using a camera, audio. All these skills have really just improved throughout this project.

Portfolio Post: CCR editing

Ok. It's coming up on the end of the project. Today I edited my CCR videos

I used free music from pixabay in the background to add to the youtube feeling of the first one. I've attempted my best to not make it just a floating head as its supposed to be a director commentary so ive added images and bts things over the talkover to feel more like a director commentary. The first half is a bit floating head but I switched that up for the second CCR question thats when I really added all the extra images to break it up.
The second one is still being edited but I believe it is coming along nicely. I am excited to post the finished product soon.

Portfolio Post: CCR production

Today I recorded my first and second CCR videos. For the first CCR video I went with a basic youtube style creator Q&A commentary. I think it turned out pretty well now I just have to edit that one. For the second CCR video I went with a News style interview were the creator is being qouted by the news anchor.

I am now in the editing stage of the CCRs which I will be posting about tomorrow. Overall as the final days of the project approach I am happy with mine.

Portfolio Post: Ideas for CCR

Ok so this is my last post before starting my CCRs and I just wanted to state my ideas for the CCRs.

My first idea for the first two CCR questions was just going to be a basic youtube video type creator talkover. So itd have a "commenter" ask a question and id just go over the answer.

The second Idea for CCR 3 and 4 was a lot more fun in my opinion. My idea for those was a news type interview so it would be a new person going over what the creator said about his work in an interview and it would have the qoute on screen of the answer.

Sort of like this image would appear and a news person would read over it saying something like "The author was asked (CCR Question) and he reponded with "....""

Portfolio Post: CCR research #4

     The final question asked is

  • How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

I learned how to use an actual camera and learned many features of Clipchamp. In Clipchamp I had to learn how to mess with the saturation and contrast and temperature of scenes to make some of my scenes look more clear and look overall nicer. I had to learn how to use an actual camera other than my phone I had to learn how to focus the camera on what I wanted and how to work with brightness of the camera.

Portfolio Post: CCR research #3

The third question that is asked of us is

  • How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

I would say this project has really developed my time managment skills and also recording skills. I have really had to make sure I get every blog post out on time while also developing the project so this has really got me to focus in and manage my time, And my recording skills have increased a good amount, I don't think my skills are exeptional but I am proud with what I have accomplished I think my recordings have come out pretty good this project being worth so much put the pressure on making the recordings look good so it forced me to really lock in on the recording.
