Portfolio Post: Credit Sequences

In this blog post I will be analyzing credit sequences of some sports-drama films so I can get an idea of how to incorparate them into my film opening. The films I will be looking at the films Rocky, Creed, and F1.

    Rocky:

The credit sequence for this film is incorporated into the opening as text that appears on the screen as Rocky is walking back to his house. They are used to just list the main credits that need to be listed while not interrupting the story of the film, so they just have the credits fade onto screen in "dead space."

    Creed:

Creed takes a differenct approach to the opening credit sequences as this film only gives opening credits to the production companys that produced the film and then takes you straight into the film. This film saves majority of its credits until the end of the film with all the credits.

       F1:

The credit sequence for this film happens after the opening scene. about 10 minutes into the film after the opening scene the credits play in a very similar way to Rockys credit sequence. As we are watching the action in the film the credits are used to fill some "dead space" on the screen as to not take away from the film whilst also giving the proper credits in the begining of the film.
